Braised Corned Beef Recipe:
The ingredients required to make this dish, which is called Braised Beef Rolls, are as follows:
2 pounds of short ribs which can also be substituted with London broil or flank steak rolls
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup raisins
2 tbsp vinegar
1 teaspoon ground mustard
2 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 bay leaf
1 3/4 cups water, divided
1 medium onion
2 tbsp all purpose flour
Cooked hot rice
First, the meat should be sprinkled with pepper and salt. Later, it should be browned on both sides using oil, and over medium heat. Mix 11/2 cups of water, raisins, brown sugar, onion, lemon juice, vinegar, mustard and bay leaf. Then boil the mixture. Mix flour in the remaining water, and make it into a smooth paste. Then add the flour paste to the boiling water, or sauce. Continue boiling until the sauce thickens. The next step is to pour the thickened sauce over the meat and bake it in the oven at 325 degrees F until the meat is tender. This will take roughly around 11/2 hours.
Once done, the meat should be served over hot steaming rice.
