What Is The Importance Of Good Nutrition ?
Nutrition is required by all living beings and forms the very basic reason for healthy living. Every body needs vitamins and minerals along with proteins and carbohydrates to grow healthily. The body has several parts and each part is dependant on minerals and vitamins for its functions. For example, the brain needs protein to grow. |
The food that we eat may help us just get the energy but there are other parts in the body that are mainly dependant on nutrients for their everyday functioning. Minerals like iron, potassium, calcium and manganese are required for the various body functions like bone growth and strengthening and brain development or having a proper eye sight for example.
Vitamins like A, B, C, B6, B12 B3, E are required for the body to aid in other bodily functions like seeing, hearing and also healing. Several of these minerals and vitamins help the body in rebuilding the muscle tissues and also maintain antibodies. All these things prevent us from falling sick. Nutritious food would include all of these minerals and vitamins in the right quantity. That is why doctors give a lot of importance to daily nutritious diets for everyone. People who do not eat nutritious food will be dependent on foods with high fat and cholesterol or they may not eat at all. Both of the conditions can lead to malnutrition which is very dangerous and sometimes fatal. Obesity is also a result of malnutrition where the body is consuming wasteful food most of the time.
